The other day I decided to clean out my purse. It had begun to get so heavy with all the things I thought I needed carry. I picked up the first things and thought that's not heavy and laid it aside to put back in the purse. I picked up something else and I thought the same thing. By the time I looked through all the contents, I really didn't clean it out; just put everything back in the purse. The things I thought individually weren't heavy, although made a heavy load. That is the way we sometimes do in our life. We worry about this little thing and another little thing until we are so burdened down we can't worship God. Our hearts and minds are totally full of things and no room for God. Psalm 55:22 ~ "Cast thy burden upon the Lord and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." Matthew 11:28 ~ Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest." It is not the will of God for us to be so burdened down we can't be what he wants us to be and fulfill the plans He has for our lives. We must keep our hearts and minds clean and open to His will. Psalm 51:10 ~ "create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me."
