Sometimes we go through trials and tribulations that seem to never end. I am reminded of the scripture Isaiah 40:29-31. 29. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. When we have prayed the prayer of faith, but the enemy continue to increase his attacks we must speak over ourselves; encourage
ourselves. There is a song by Donald Lawrence and the Tri City Singers “Encourage Yourself”. Below are a couple of verses of the song.
Sometimes you have to encourage yourself
Sometimes you have to speak victory during the test
And no matter how you feel
Speak the word and you will be healed
Speak over yourself, encourage yourself in the Lord
Sometimes you have to speak the word over yourself
The pressure is all around but God is present help
The enemy created walls but remember giants, they do fall
Speak over yourself, encourage yourself in the Lord.
David was a man after God’s heart. Throughout the Psalms we read encouraging words he spoke over himself. So when we find ourselves at that place where we feel we can’t go on we must start speaking words of encouragement over ourselves.
