Psalms 51:17 KJV "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise." This verse has been on my mind and I looked up what "contrite" means and google says its to be very sorry for your wrongs. My family has been going through a storm that caught us off guard, the enemy struck from a place that I never expected but I should have been more on guard, needless to say I had a contrite spirit. Endless nights of no sleep and weeping for days, like mourning a death of a loved one. Nevertheless, God has heard the cry of my heart. I have experience that peace that surpass all understanding!! In my storm I was reminded by a dear friend that my church is my family and that I can just say I need prayer. Something so simple yet so powerful. Sometimes we lock ourselves in a box but no we are a family. I say this to encourage you my sister and brother to not give into despair like if we where Fatherless but rather with a contrite, humble spirit let us enter into the our Fathers throne room and cry out to Him. We are not alone!! This is not the end of your story!! When you and I invoke the name of Jesus into ANY situation we can trust that He will fight for us. What do we need to do in the mean while? Trust and praise Him in your waiting room!! Ask for his strength and be completely transparent with Him about how your feel. God is faithful! You are loved by the almighty God, His name is JESUS!!
