Isaiah 43:1-2 “Fear not; for I have redeemed thee, I have called there by name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” The Word of God says to fear not because we have been redeemed-delivered from sin and captivity. He has called us by name, and we are His. This life will bring struggle, illness, temptation and even failures. God promises to be with us when we go through these things. The Almighty God will uphold us and keep us in the midst of any storm. Notice the scripture reads “when thou passest through” God will get us through the tough times. We must hold tight to His instruction, His word and His promise. The trials of this life are temporary; our God is all powerful and eternal. We will get through when we hold tight to Him. We will not be washed away or overtaken when we anchored to Him. At TBC years ago, Sis. Judy Keating taught the freshman girls this powerful chorus. “ I’ll be with thee, God said He would be with thee. I’ll be with thee, God said He would be with thee. Through the water, through the flood, through the fire, through the blood, I am the Lord thy God and I will be with thee.” God has proven time and time again that He will not leave us nor forsake us. My family has experienced tragedy, death, illness and spiritual attacks. Always God has been faithful. Praise His Holy Name!
