I have to admit I have OCD when it comes to things around my house. I want everything in its place and a place for everything. I want to keep floors clean,
laundry caught up, etc. If a picture on the wall is crooked, stop and straighten it . But God has been
dealing with me lately asking the question "Do you have Spiritual OCD?" According to I Cor. 3:16 our bodies are the temple of God. "If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." I Cor 3:17
Do I sweep and clean my spiritual house daily? Do I keep out all things that will hamper my walk with God? Proverbs 4:23 states "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." Diligence means careful attention, persistence work, commitment. Is my prayer and fasting adequate? Do I read God's word daily? Do I fast, give of my finances to God? Do I let anything keep me out of God's house?
I pray that I will diligently keep my heart clean lest something could cause me to stumble.
II Peter 1:10 "Wherefore the rather brethren, give
diligence to make your calling and election sure; for if you do these things, ye shall never fall."
