My Help!

Psalm 121:1-2 “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From whence does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. The Psalmist is lifting His eyes to the hills, perhaps looking for his help that might be coming. And then he asks himself a question, “ Where does my help come from?” Then he reminds himself, “ My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” The greatest help is MY help. Sometimes in life things happen and I look around for help. I look all around me and may question, “Where is my help coming from?” Let me always remind myself that my help comes from the Lord! Not from some “Calvary” coming across the hills to rescue me. Not from some earthly or temporal help. But MY help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.

There is no one greater than HIM! He MADE heaven! He MADE earth! Look at the sky, the sun, the moon, the stars, galaxies, what an amazing God He is! Look at the splendor and majesty of earth. The majestic mountains, the expansive oceans, the ground that yields crops, flowers, trees, canyons, valleys, waterfalls, wildlife and people.

My Lord MAKES all of that, and HE is MY help!

I am in good hands!
