A resolution is a firm decision to do or not do something.. it is the quality of being determined. So many times we have made New Year's Resolutions in the past only to find that in just a few short weeks they are no longer remembered and have fallen by the wayside. Maybe that happened because it was just unrealistic or there was no clear path to see it through. If you are inclined to make New Year's Resolutions, why not consider committing to a healthier "Spiritual Diet" that will feed your spirit, nourish your soul and fuel your walk with God. Here is some "food for thought" to help you with your spiritual
D I E T.
Be Disciplined (1Chronicles 16:11) to set aside time each day for reading and praying.
Be Intentional (Acts 2:42) by putting God first daily.
Be Earnest (Hebrews 11:16) in your daily time to receive what God is saying to you.
Be Trusting (Psalms 9:10) because he has your best interests in the good times and in the bad.
Is this your year to start a new DIET plan with Jesus? If so, commit yourself to develop a deeper relationship and strive to make faith your priority. Ask God to give you strength and a desire to follow through with this New Year's Resolution.
