Health- the state of being free from illness or injury. Of Germanic origin; related to whole the state of being free from illness or injury. (1 Corinthians 12:27) In an average human being’s life, especially in this day and hour, we are so concerned with our health and rightly so. Based on different cultures and societies, some people are only concerned with their outward appearance such as hygiene, dental, vision, etc. Some are focused on their internal health such as their heart, liver, lungs, and kidneys… what they ingest. Many are focused on various bodily functions that must all work together for the overall health or wholeness of the body that they reside in. Some people will go as far as to use certain remedies that claim to provide spiritual and natural wholeness such as meditation or yoga. When the body's wholeness is intact and at optimal efficiency the quality of life for that particular body is richer [John 10:10, 3 John 2:2, 1Th 5:23] The Health, Wholeness, and Unity of the Body must be maintained in order to retain the optimal functions and quality that Jesus intended for us to have. Not just physical health within our own bodies, but being a part of the body of Christ there should be a reflection as we maintain our spiritual walk with God.
