I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. John 9:4
One hot summer day a local grocery store was having a sale on steaks. They were nice lean and tender steaks that do not go on sale very often. I bought some and was about to head home. Suddenly I heard the Lord say, “go to the church and pray”. I said, “Lord, did you not just see me purchase all of that meat?” As quickly as I thought those words I said, “of course you are the one who blessed me to buy the steaks”. I went to the church and started praying and worshiping the Lord. Suddenly one of the back doors of the church swung open and in walked a Sister. She had her hands lifted up and her
mouth filled with praises. We prayed and worshiped the Lord at the altar for a while. Then we greeted one another and went our separate ways. When I got in the vehicle, my steaks were still cool to the touch.
Later I learned the Sister received a diagnosis of a terminal illness. I believe it is imperative for us to go when the Lord says go. We have a unique opportunity to serve. When we do what the Lord asks of us, He is faithful to supply our needs.
