Nehemiah 2:12 (NKJV) “Then I arose in the night, I and a few men with me; I told no one what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem; nor was there any animal with me, except the one on which I rode.”  It would eventually take everyone being unified to rebuild the walls.  Nehemiah had his part to play.  And it was extremely vital that he not make it about himself and lose what God was trying to do through him. Too many get their reward (Matthew 6:16-18) because they cannot keep hidden in their hearts the truth about what God is doing in them.
