52 Days. Day 27, Facing Reminders of our Weakness.

Nehemiah 4:2 (NKJV) “And he spoke before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, “What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they fortify themselves? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they complete it in a day? Will they revive the stones from the heaps of rubbish--[stones] that are burned?” By Nehemiah’s time, the Jews in Jerusalem were nothing more than a tiny people dominated by a mighty empire.  Sanballat points out all the obvious facts about the challenges and weaknesses facing Israel.

One of our enemy’s main titles in the Bible is accuser.  Your enemy will emphasize all your weaknesses to cause you to focus on yourself.  But this is where our God shines the brightest!  Hebrews 11:34 “out of weakness were made strong.”  2 Corinthians 12:10 “when I am weak, then am I strong.”  Have you been focused on all the reasons why something cannot happen?  Have you been focused on all your weaknesses?  Shift your focus back to the One Who is your Source of strength and put your trust more fully in Him.
